Road to Baby Celebrates LGBTQ Community This Pride Month

Spanning across June, Pride Month celebrates the LGBTQ community throughout the United States. Here at Road to Baby Surrogacy Agency, we are proud to support the LGBTQ community every day, and that only intensifies during Pride Month.

We believe that everyone deserves the chance to accomplish their dreams of parenthood regardless of sexual orientation, which is why we’ve helped those who can’t conceive children naturally become parents through surrogacy since 2012. 50th Anniversary of Pride Traditions

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the first organized pride march. On June 28, 1969, the LGBTQ community took a massive leap forward with the beginning of the Stonewall Uprising, a six-day series of events during which LGBTQ people protested with police after a police raiding of Stonewall Inn, a popular gay bar in New York City. The protests went on to change the narrative of LGBTQ activism throughout the U.S.

One year later, on June 28, 1970, the first organized pride march took place in NYC to commemorate the events of the previous summer. Now 50 years later, pride marches continue throughout the nation, highlighted annually by Pride Month every June.

Pride Month

In the three decades that followed the first organized march, pride became synonymous with LGBTQ communities worldwide. In 1999, Bill Clinton was the first president to declare June as the official Pride Month. While June had been a month that celebrates LGBTQ pride since 1970 in the U.S., this allowed more and more people to proudly show their true selves.

Road to Baby and LGBTQ Pride

During this Pride Month, we are proud to stand alongside the LGBTQ community and celebrate with them. All are welcome at Road to Baby, and our surrogacy agency is proud to work with LGBTQ couples to help them become parents. There are several different paths for couples to follow in their journey to parenthood:

  • Surrogacy With an Egg Donor — Surrogacy with an egg donor is the best option for male couples looking to become parents. Here at Road to Baby, we help determine which egg donor and surrogate are the best match to begin their journey.

  • In-Vitro Fertilization With a Sperm Donor — Female couples can choose one partner to carry the baby through in-vitro fertilization from a sperm donor, or they can decide to have a surrogate carry their baby.

Regardless of your unique situation, our team is so excited to help you become parents. We’re passionate about celebrating all walks of life here at Road to Baby, and Pride Month allows us to do just that.
